2024 MembershipTo join Dundalk Salmon Anglers Association there is an Application Form which must be filled in by all current and intending members each year. When this form is filled in it must then be put before the next committee meeting for approval. Committee meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. You will be notified immediately your application has been approved.
The Association limits membership to 175 members each year. To guarantee that you will gain membership it is important that you apply as soon as possible. Junior Membership (Under 18) is Free. There is no limit to the number of Junior Members. Day Permits to fish on our waters Day Permits are available under E-mail address: [email protected] on our waters and cost €15.00 per day. However from 1st. October to 12th. October (Closing of Season) day permits are available only to visiting anglers from overseas who are staying in accommodation in the Republic of Ireland at that time. Our fisheries cover about 5 miles of the River Fane from the sea up to Knockbridge, both banks. There is no commercial fishing allowed on the Fane estuary or the river itself. The average umber of Salmon caught on our fisheries during the last five years was 219 per year with an average release rate of 40% per year. There is also excellent wild Brown Trout fishing on the upper stretches of our fisheries. . If you intend becoming a member in 2023 we recommend you get your application to our Association as soon as possible.
